Israeli soldiers shot at least four Palestinians,
including a child, dead.
Muhammad Arja (12 years old), was deliberately murdered by an Israeli
soldier near the Salahuddin Gate at the southern tip of the Gaza Strip.
Medhat Jadallah (17 years old) succumbed to the serious wounds he had
sustained during clashes in Gaza strip. Ibrahim Muhammad Shehadeh from
Qalandya refugee camp and Hamzeh Nadi Alhasis of the town of El-Sammou,
20
miles south west of Hebron both has been killed by Israeli army.
The Israeli army strafed several neighborhoods with machinegun rounds
at
night, causing substantial damage to residential houses and buildings.
Israeli occupation gunners fired several artillery shells and heavy
machine
gun rounds at the Princess Alya hospital in downtown Hebron, inflicting
heavy damage and forcing many terrorized patients to seek cover.
The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution calling
Israel’s
imposition of “its laws, jurisdiction and administration” on Jerusalem
illegal.

Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian

Al-Ja’afari as he was doing electric works at a building under
construction
in Al-Bireh north of Ramallah.

A report prepared by a team of doctors expedited by American human
rights’
organization to the occupied lands revealed that more than one thousand
Palestinians would suffer from permanent disability as a result of
Israeli
use of excessive force to quell the Palestinian intifada raging since
last
29 September.
Over thirty Palestinians were injured, seven seriously when Israeli
occupation soldiers and settlers attacked the village of Housan, a few
miles west of Bethlehem. Several Israeli settlers opened fire on
mosque-goers soon after sunset, injuring two people seriously.
Day 68 : Monday 04.12.2000
Israeli helicopter gunships strafed two refugee
camps near Bethlehem,
injuring several refugees and causing substantial damage to property.
An Islamist Palestinian guerrilla Awadh Saleh Salmi (27 years old) was
killed and his body was badly mutilated when an explosive device went
off
near the Mintar Crossing in the Gaza Strip.
Day 69 : Tuesday 05.12.2000
The town of Beit Jala and the neighboring refugee camps of Ayda and
al-Azza
have been coming under heavy Israeli shelling from the Jewish
settlement of
Gilo. The civilian neighborhoods were shelled with heavy ammunition and
bombs.
Day 70 : Wednesday 06.12.2000
More than 150,000 people took part in the funeral
procession of Awad Silmi
including Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and all leaders of the
Movement
in the Gaza Strip.
Day 71 : Thursday 07.12.2000
A Palestinian court in Nablus has sentenced the killer of Hamas
guerrilla
Ibrahim Bani Odeh to death by firing squad.
Israeli occupation troops fired several tear gas shells at the Sharja
School for Girls in Kalkilya, causing as many as fifty children to
suffocate. The girls were taken to the main hospital in Kalkilya for
treatment of gas-inhalation.

Israeli soldiers and settlers murdered eight Palestinians throughout
the
West Bank. Four of the murdered are members of the Palestinian
Authority
general security force who were just getting ready for their Ramadan
meal.
The bodies of the four, who were manning a roadblock near the village
of
Jalqamous near Jenin, were badly mutilated. Two more Palestinians were
killed in Jerusalem and Bethlehem during marches protesting the Israeli
army’s barring of Muslims from reaching Islamic holy places in
Jerusalem
for the Friday prayers. Another two Palestinians were hacked to death
by
marauding Jewish settlers around Jerusalem.
Two Jewish settlers living on occupied Arab land were shot dead. A
third
settler was later shot near Jericho.
Day 73 : Saturday 09.12.2000
The occupation army blockaded major Palestinian towns in the West Bank
and
in the Gaza Strip preventing Palestinian from entering or leaving their
immediate localities, even for an emergency.
A Hebron child Mansour Jaber (12 years old) who was shot and seriously
injured by Jewish terrorists near the settlement of Kiryat Arb’a, was
listed in critical condition. The child, underwent a five-hour surgery
to
stop a sever internal hemorrhage caused by three bullet injuries to his
lung and liver. The group of armed Jewish settlers from the nearby
settlements of Kiryat Arba and Kharsina seized the home of Ata Jaber at
the
Baka’a neighborhood. The settlers removed furniture and raised the
Israeli
flag atop the Palestinian home, which has been demolished twice and
rebuilt
in defiance of the Israeli occupiers. When the Jaber family refused to
leave their home, the settlers opened fire on the family members,
seriously
injuring Mansour in the chest and the belly.
Day 74 : Sunday 10.12.2000
Three Palestinians fell martyrs in the West Bank at the hands of
Israeli
occupation soldiers and settlers. In Bethlehem Mahmoud Yousef Al
Muhghrabi
(24 year old) was killed in a resistance mission near Beit Jala,
apparently
while trying to plant a roadside charge near the tunnel route which
bypasses the Arab town. Another Palestinian, a 19 years old, was
reportedly
killed near the village of Beit Furik near the northern West Bank town
of
Nablus. And in Hebron, Ahli hospital announced that Ahmed Kawasmi (14
year
old) was clinically dead, having been severely injured by gunshot
wounds
inflicted by Israeli undercover soldiers. The soldiers reportedly
captured
the child outside the Ali Bakka Mosque in downtown Hebron , dragged him
to
the ground, and according to an eyewitness one soldier pressed his boot
against the child neck and then shot him in the head. Another Hebron
child
is still fighting for his life in a Jerusalem hospital.
In the Gaza Strip, two Palestinians were laid to rest today. Salim
Hamaydeh
(12 years old) and Muhammed Judeh (24 year old ) .
311 Palestinian martyrs have fallen since the outbreak of the Aqsa
intifada
ten weeks ago. The number of Injuries topped 11,000. Around 14 Israeli
soldiers and settlers died in the same period.
Israeli premier Ehud Barak tabled his resignation to president Moshe
Katzav
after admitting that the Palestinian intifada was the reason for his
resignation.
Day 75 : Monday 11.12.2000
One Palestinian was killed by Israeli occupation soldiers in the West
Bank
town of Nablus. Anwar Ahmed Hamran (28 years old) studies at the Alqods
Open University. was killed at the Dahiya neighborhood in Nablus as he
was
returning home from college.
Another Four Palestinians, including a child, were laid to rest in
Ramallah, Bethlehem and Al-Khalil. Hilmat Hanani (20 years old) from
the
village of Beit Furik near Nablus, Hasan Shahin (40 years old) from
Bitunya
near Ramallah who was hacked to death by Jewish settlers in West
Jerusalem
on Friday, Mahmoud Al-Mughrabi from Dheishe refugee camp, and Ahmed
Kawasmi
(14 years old) from Hebron who was killed in a cold-blooded murder in
downtown Al-Khalil on Friday.
Day 76 : Tuesday 12.12.2000
Israeli troops assassinated Fatah activist at the village of Khader
near
Bethlehem.
Day 77 : Wednesday 13.12.2000
Four Palestinians were killed, and as many as 25 others were injured
when
Israeli occupation troops bombarded the Khan Younis Refugee camp in the
southern Gaza Strip. Three Israeli tanks penetrated about 100 meters
into
the Camp. Palestinian civilians and lightly-armed Palestinian policemen
sought to repulse the tanks, setting one tank on fire. At least six
Palestinians were seriously injured in the bombardment and more than
ten
houses were partially damaged or completely destroyed.
The Israeli occupation army assassinated another Palestinian Islamist
in
Hebron. Undercover Israeli soldiers murdered Abbas Othman Iwewi (26
year
old) a shopkeeper, while he was standing outside his store on the Wadi
El-Tuffah Street.
Israeli occupation forces riddled a Fatah military cadre Yousef Ahmed
Abu
Sawwi (28 years old) with 22 bullets while standing in front of his
house
in the village of Artas near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Day 78 : Thursday 14.12.2000
A Palestinian was murdered in cold blood in Gaza. Israeli occupation
soldiers opened fire at a minibus which was traveling between Khan
Younis
and Gaza Town, killing the driver Hani Abu Baker (31 year old). Five
passengers in the car were injured, three seriously.

The Israeli occupation army has sealed with
concrete and earth roads
linking more than a hundred villages along the former armistice line
between the West Bank and 1948-Palestine.
The Israeli occupation troops hot and killed an elderly Palestinian
Muhammed Fahd Ma’ani (72 years old) near the northern West Bank town of
Jenin. The elderly victim’s body was found laid on the ground Saturday
morning.
Day 80 : Saturday 16.12.2000
In another Israeli crime , Hani Abu Bakra a member
of the Qassam Brigades
the military wing of Hamas while he was driving his taxicab, an Israeli
military block intercepted his car and asked for his identity. The
occupation soldiers then backed away and a nearby Israeli tank opened
fire
at the car, which also grouped six other passengers. Abu Bakra died on
the
spot while the remaining occupants were wounded one of them seriously.
Day 81 : Sunday 17.12.2000
Two Palestinians were killed and five others
injured when an Israeli tank
fired a shell at a Palestinian position near the Rafah border crossing
at
the southern tip of the Gaza Strip. Iyad Mahmoud Dawoud (27 year old)
and
Muhammed Abdul Jalil al Qassas (30 year old) were killed instantly when
a
tanks hell rammed into the Palestinian position. Five other
Palestinians
were seriously injured in the incident.
Since the beginning of the al-Aqsa Intifada, the Israel occupation army
has
murdered 325 Palestinians, including some fifty children.
The Israeli occupation army assassinated another Fatah activist in the
Jerusalem area. Samih Mal'abi (24 years old) from the Kalandia refugee
camp
was inthe refugee camp when a powerful explosive charge went off
killing
him immediately.
The settlers shot dead a sixteen years old Palestinian boy near
Ramallah,
and then fled away.
Day 82 : Monday 18.12.2000
Palestinian police investigators have found the
body of Fatah leader, who
disappeared three days ago, buried near Jenin in the northern part of
the
West Bank with knife stabbing on it. Rashid Abu Al-Hasan was apparently
killed by Israeli agents.
Jewish settlers opened fire on a Palestinian primary school at a
village
near Nablus, injuring two students, one seriously. The settlers arrived
in
three cars at the secondary school in Huwara, south of Nablus, and
opened
fire.
Day 83 : Tuesday 19.12.2000
Israeli and Palestinian sources have reported that
the Israeli government,
backed by the United States, are pressurizing Yasser Arafat to accept a
new
"peace deal" whereby the Israelis would offer new "concessions" on
Jerusalem, in return for Arafat renouncing the right of some four
million
Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland. UN resolutions and
international law guarantee the right of return.
Day 84 : Wednesday 20.12.2000
Three Palestinians were killed and scores others
were injured when Israeli
occupation troops bombarded the city of Rafah at the southern tip of
the
Gaza Strip. Hani Al-Sufi (13 years old) was killed when he was hit with
a
shrapnel from an Israeli shell that the child's home. Nedal Abu Oun (28
years old) and Rifa'at Abu Marzuk (32 years old) who worked for the
Palestinian Civil Defense Force, were killed when Israeli troops
deployed
outside the Jewish settlement of Netzarim shelled their car as they
were
travelling from Rafah to Gaza. A fourth person identified as Awad
Muhammed
Zabbou was reported clinically dead. Palestinian sources said over
sixty
Palestinian civilians were injured, some seriously as a result of the
bombardment of Rafah.

A Palestinian youth strapped with explosives blew
himself at an Israeli
restaurant frequented by Israeli soldiers north of Jericho, killing
himself
and injuring ten Zionist, four seriously.
Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza strip today buried four martyrs
killed by occupation troops. The four are; Najib Ibedo (17 years old)
from
the village of Sa'ir near Hebron, Arafat Jabarin from the village of
Sa'ir
north east of Hebron, Nidal Oun from Khan Younis, The fourth
Palestinian is
the martyr who carried out the martyrdom operation at a restaurant
frequented by occupation soldiers north of Jericho, his identity has
not
been disclosed.

Occupation troops raided the village of Asira
el-Shamaliya near Nablus,
attacking residential homes, vandalizing property and beating local
residents. Fourteen local villagers were arrested for anti-Israeli
activities and resistance.
Day 89 : Monday 25.12.2000
Israeli occupation army is still withholding the
body of Najib Ibedo (22
years old) who was murdered by Jewish settlers near the settlement of
Haggay, on Hebron’s southern outskirts. Israeli army told the bereaved
family that it will hand over the body for burial only if the family
undertake not to sue the Jewish settlers for murder.
Israeli occupation authorities uprooted over 200 fully-grown olive
trees
near the Palestinian town of Nablus. Israeli army bulldozers extirpated
the
trees at the two villages of Salim and Jama’ain.
Day 90 : Tuesday 26.12.2000
An opinion survey in Israel has shown that a
majority of Israeli Jews are
opposed to a peace deal with the Palestinian Authority based on the
recent
American proposals. The Israeli paper Yedeot Ahranot has shown that 48%
of
the respondents, who represent a random sample of the adult population,
were opposed to "ceding sovereignty in Jerusalem to the Palestinians in
the
context of an agreement with the PA." Around 43% said they would
support
such an arrangement, while 9% expressed no opinion.
In response to a question on the proposed transfer of Arab
neighborhoods in
East Jerusalem to the Palestinians, 60% of the respondents said they
supported the idea, while 39% per cent said they were opposed to it.
A staggering 72% of the respondents said they were firmly opposed to
the
repatriation of even a small number of Palestinian refugees to their
historical homeland in what is now Israel. 27% of the respondents said
they
would support such an idea.
